Please bring clean glass jars and bottles in cardboard boxes to the trailer in the near corner of the church parking lot from 4 pm Saturday, May 28 , to 1 pm Sunday, May 29. The county will crush the glass and use it for road construction. We collect glass the LAST weekend of each month.

In honor of Mother’s Day, our PREPARES group is sponsoring a diaper drive through the end of May. Please bring any size diapers and/or wipes and put them by the sign at the church entrance. Or, write a check to “Sacred Heart Parish” and put “diaper drive” on the memo line. The diapers will be donated to the Community Action Center, Head Start, Rosarios Place at WSU, and Alternatives To Violence of the Palouse.
Are you anxious about climate change and looking for ways to help fight it? Come to the presentation by Palouse Citizens’ Climate Lobby Wednesday, May 25, from 6:30 to 7:45 pm in the social hall or attend virtually (click the picture to go to the Zoom link) Following a brief report on three sustainability projects at Sacred Heart, four panelists will talk about PCCL’s work, climate action legislation, and practical ways you can help make a real difference. There will also be discussion and an opportunity to contact public officials by phone. Hosted by Sacred Heart’s Laudato Si’ Disciples.

The Sacred Heart Men’s Prayer Group invites all the men of Sacred Heart parish to join us at 7:15 AM Saturdays. We will meet weekly until summer. This is a time to pray, sing and share with other Catholic men. Our focus is to strengthen our souls as we journey to the cross.
You can recycle plastic bags and wrap! We are still collecting plastic bags and film to recycle. There are some updated requirements: They can’t use cellophane-like, crackly plastic that doesn’t stretch. If it tears instead of stretching, please don’t bring it. And, it must be clean and dry.
