Bishop Daly and Governor Inslee have allowed us to begin celebrating the Eucharist and holding other services with a limited number of people present. Because of the size of our church and the limited airflow we will begin allowing 10 people other than those ministering to attend daily Mass, Adoration and the rosary.
This allowance is not declaring that attending Mass or services is ‘safe.’ There is still a risk of contracting the coronavirus and so the following safety measures must be observed:
Anyone who is in a high risk category should not attend:
People over the age of 65 People with pre-existing health conditions that would make them vulnerable.
Before attending everyone should make a brief health evaluation, including taking their temperature. Do not attend if you have
: - A temperature above 100.4 F - Cough or sore throat - Shortness of breath - Recent loss of smell or taste - Chills - New muscle aches - Gastrointestinal upset and diarrhea Anyone who is experiencing any of these symptoms must not attend.
Everyone attending must wear a face mask.
When entering the church use hand sanitizer.
Those not in the same household must sit at least six feet apart.
We will note the names of those attending each service. If someone at that service comes down with the virus within two weeks, we will know who to contact. The records will be shredded after 30 days.
We will sanitize all commonly touched surfaces before and after services.
