Are you concerned about climate change and looking for ways to do something about it? Come to the Zoom gathering at 6:30-8 pm on Wednesday, November 18th to learn about opportunities for climate action, both individually and as a parish. We will consider the areas of reducing our carbon footprint, education, and advocacy. Participants will be invited to commit to at least one specific action to help address climate change. The event is hosted by Sacred Heart’s Social Justice Ministry and is held in follow-up of the recent Laudato Si’/Caring for God’s Creation Zoom meetings at the parish. The Zoom link will be posted on the parish bulletin for Sunday, November 15th. “Science tells us, every day, with more precision, that urgent action is needed . . . if we are to keep the hope of avoiding radical and catastrophic climate change. And for this we must act now.” Pope Francis, Our Moral Imperative to Act on Climate Change—and 3 Steps We Can Take, October, 2020
