January 26, Sunday of the Word of God

January 26 is the Sunday of the Word of God. Pope Francis proclaimed that “the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time is to be devoted to the celebration, study and dissemination of the Word of God”. The Pope defined what he describes as “the great challenge before us in life: to listen to Sacred Scripture and then to practice mercy”.
